July 2025 - Painting of the Month

I’m calling my July painting of the month, “Who Loves The Flatirons?” This is painted from a photo I took last month from the Chautauqua Park area. I love walking up there in the early mornings in June to catch the poppies (and lupine) and the sunrise on the Flatirons.

And here are two dogs I painted for a friend. These two live at the same house and are siblings so to speak. They are getting older and are just the cutest little fluff balls. My toes are for scale, haha.

I participated in the Boulder Art Association’s July show, and my painting “Poppies Are The Best” won 3rd place! That was kind of fun!

Are you a gardener? I’ve been making fermented pickles from the cucumbers in our garden. I just love them and the magic of fermentation. I know I know, you either love pickles or hate them. They aren’t for everyone. Do you like pickles?

Questions and comments are welcome! Feel free to reach out any time. Sending you my best wishes!
