April 2025 - Painting of the Month

Every spring, around late May and early June, I love to hike up near Chautauqua in the early mornings and take photos of the poppies with the Flatirons in the background. Here’s a new painting from a photo I took last year. It’s acrylic on panel in a nice black frame. I like how the poppies loom large!

Maybe one day I’ll become a birder. Are you a birder?

I actually painted two of these. I imagine them facing each other, looking at each other.

But if you’re mad, you can face them away from each other. This will probably make you chuckle and feel a little bit better!
