After doing lots of landscapes in recent months, I find myself drawn to painting fish and birds! Here’s a new little pink robin. And I have a hummingbird in progress. Maybe I’ll share the hummingbird next month.

As for garden news, the cucumbers are still coming, but I think they are finally starting to slow down. In addition to pickles, I’ve been making an easy Japanese salad called sunomono. And I’ve been supplying lots of neighbors with extra cucumbers.
Thanks!
I’ve also been busy with a few pet portrait commissions, but since they are surprise gifts, I can’t quite share photos yet. But let me tell you, people have cute cats and dogs!
cheers,
